Is this your starting point?

Start with what matters now.

This is the starting point for someone exploring a physiotherapy consultation and wanting a clear picture of the experience. There is time to describe the activities that matter to you, discuss the session format and ask how any proposed assessment would be explained. You should understand an activity before deciding whether to take part.

What the session looks like

01

Describe what matters to you

Begin with your questions and the everyday activities you want to discuss. Your practitioner listens for context rather than expecting you to know technical terms.

02

Understand the assessment

Talk through what may be explored, why it is relevant and how you can ask for a pause. Any movement activity should be explained first and adapted to the conversation.

03

Leave with a clear summary

Review the discussion in plain language, check your understanding and clarify what needs attention beyond this visit. Questions about further care belong with an appropriately qualified professional.

Questions before you choose

Will I need to demonstrate movement?

A physiotherapy visit may include movement assessment. The practitioner should explain each proposed activity and invite questions before proceeding.

Is the movement follow-up the same appointment?

No. The first physiotherapy consultation is 60 minutes with Arin. A movement follow-up is a separate 30-minute service available with Arin or Leo.
